Welcome to R2 Made: Our Story

Hi! We're Ryan and Rachelle, the husband-and-wife team behind R2 Made.

Our journey began in 2021 in Woodland, Washington, with a simple love for woodworking. What started as a small hobby in our workshop quickly grew into something much bigger—a passion for creating beautiful, functional products that people could enjoy for years to come.

As we handcrafted more cutting boards, we realized that making a quality board was only part of the story. Proper care is what keeps wood looking beautiful and performing its best. That realization inspired us to develop our own line of all-natural, food-safe cutting board oils and waxes.

Every bottle and jar is crafted in small batches from our workshop on five acres in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We use only high-quality, food-safe, all-natural ingredients, nothing unnecessary, no harsh chemicals, and no fillers. Our oil is designed to deeply nourish wood from within, while our wax provides a protective barrier that helps lock in moisture and keep wood looking its best.

Although our roots are in woodworking, our mission has grown beyond making cutting boards. We want to help every woodworker, home cook, and chef protect the kitchen tools they rely on every day. Whether you own one of our handcrafted boards or a treasured family heirloom, we believe quality wood deserves quality care.

When we're not in the workshop, you'll usually find us cooking together, working on new ideas, or exploring the outdoors with our two Boston Terriers. Living in the Pacific Northwest has taught us to appreciate craftsmanship, nature, and creating products that are built to last.
